The Young Professionals Group is made up
of members of the Clifton Diocese in their 20s and 30s. We meet after
the 6pm Mass at the Cathedral for drinks in the Channings Pub across the
road. The group has about 40 members, and from 5 to 15 of us make it to
the pub social each week. Many of us actually attend Mass at our own
parishes through the diocese, but still come along to the pub after the
Cathedral Mass anyway! In addition to the regular pub trips, we organise other events, to which all are welcome. Events are organised by any member who has an idea, and include theatre or comedy trips, open-mic nights and concerts, shared meals, and walks of various levels of seriousness! Calling ourselves the young professionals indicates the stage of life we are at - no longer students, but not yet families - it does not mean you need to be a professional to join! We are a friendly, welcoming and diverse group.
